This beautiful fluorescence image, taken by Tagide deCarvalho of the United States, shows the inside of a tardigrade with colorful details.
REGIONAL WINNER | AMERICAS
The Asia-Pacific regional prize was awarded to Howard Vindin of Australia. The image shows the autofluorescence of a mouse embryo with 950 tiles stitched together.
REGIONAL WINNER | ASIA-PACIFIC
Alan Prescott of the United Kingdom won the regional prize for EMEA with this image that he entitled “The Mouse’s Whiskers”. The image was captured from a frozen section of a mouse using multiple fluorescent labels.
